Random april phone photos

I have so much to blog about but I kept waiting for Cortney to put our Mexico trip into dropbox for me...but I don't have any space on my computer for them...so I wasn't posting at all.  I will get to that trip soon but for now here are my April phone pictures.

We spent a lot of April being sick.  It went from one kid to the next.   Cali and I have 10 kids so it took FOREVER to cycle through us all.  It was one of the worst stomach flu's I have ever seen.

I spent 3 days with Henry like this.  Never leaving his side.  It was a lot of work.

Rob was crying and crying one Sunday.  I had just taught a lesson on blessings of the restoration.  After church Rob asked for a blessing.  He fell asleep during the blessing and didn't wake up until the next morning.  I was so grateful for the priesthood.

Theo is in a climbing and falling stage.   This day he fell onto an open drawer.  It is horrible.  He also crawled off the stage during yoga.  I have to watch him like a hawk (which I am not good at)

Linh graduated from UVU!  Cali and KaeLynn and I  (with our little kids) went to support her.  My parents were there as well but sat in the front.

I absolutely hate this picture of me.  Cali says it isn't what I looked like but I wanted to include a picture of all of us.
The next day I took my turn being sick.   I was so sick.

Isaac and Linh had an amazing going away party/graduation party.  I got sick during it though...and never got to say goodbye.  We are missing them like crazy.  They moved across the country to South Carolina.

So I guess that was April for us.

Catching up...Always

First off we went on an awesome family vacations...there will be lots of posts coming up about that.  It was JUST what I needed.

Second, last Sunday Rob was teasing Henry about something and I said..."Rob stop teasing him he doesn't even know who the president is..."

Henry came to me with huge tears rolling down his chubby cheeks and he said..."Mom I know who the president is, it's Heavenly Father." (picture it being pronounced Heabenly Fahder)

I thought it was just about the cutest thing ever.

Last Monday I woke up paralyzed (okay okay I'm being a little dramatic here) with a pinched nerve in my back/neck.  I couldn't move without seeing stars.  I am feeling much better but still uncomfortable.  I couldn't get out of bed.  My two baby kids did pretty good without me and Theo took a huge nap.  The rest of the day they crawled around my bed asking me to open go-gurts for them.  I think the hardest part of being a grown up is you don't ever have someone to take care of you.  It was a rough day.  (i did read a whole book that day.  Finnikin of the Rock...totally recommend it.)  Oliver helped out a ton when he got home too.  Good boy.

You gotta love pictures your kids take of you.  When I find pictures of me on my phone they are usually blurry pics of me in my garms taken by Henry...hahaa.
This one he took one of the days my neck hurt the worst.  I look horrible...I felt horrible.

Some time in the past week or so Henry and Fiona (mostly Henry) got out all of the games at Cali's house.  It was annoying but funny because Tyson, Addie and Ella used to do this...then Oli and Jack...and then at least 4 years ago Carolina and Rob.  It has been a long time since we have had to clean up games...and if we stay on track we will only have to do it one more time when Willie and Theo do it and then we won't have to worry about it again until we have grandkids.

Even the naughty things my kids do are pretty predictable

During this time My grandma Earl and Uncle David and Aunt Peggy were in town.  They took us to dinner at Pizza Pie Cafe (so fun...I sat at the adult table and David sat with Cortney and my boys...hahaa, he is a brave man!).  We also had the opportunity to go and see Courtney (my cousin not my husband) dance one last time before she graduates.  Carolina came with us and the show was spectacular!
Of course no pictures of that though!

This week around here my kids (and Cali's) have had the worst flu ever.  It is a NIGHTMARE over here.  There are just too many sick at once for me to take care of them.

Oli is getting old and pretty much takes care of himself...

 Cute climber baby.

We also had spirit week.  I couldn't really get my kids to dress up but Rob would for rock star day.  He loved it. (I put on dark eyeliner but he thought he looked like a girl and made me take it off of him...)

We have been trying to take our kids out each month around the day of their birth....so Oli goes around the 24th and Rob goes around the 11th.  It has been fun.  Cortney and I alternate which kid we take.  These are some pictures from when I took Oli to the Chocolate.  Yummy. He was amazed by the yumminess.

Mexico house....last post

I know I have more pictures somewhere....but I need to move on from this trip!  Plus how many pictures do I need right??

We rented the house we stayed in on VRBO.com...we didn't start looking at places until a couple of days before we left so I just emailed like 12 properties asking if they would accept our price and if they would allow 4 adults and 10 kids.  Most people were quite shocked by the amount of kids we had.  We knew we would be just fine with 4 bedrooms.  2 for each family because when we went the time before we each had our whole family in 1 bedroom.  The first people I heard back from were the owners of the place we stayed.  They weren't sure they wanted that many kids...hahaa.  I told them we would make sure our kids didn't ruin the place and they said we could come.  They then asked if we were LDS...because they were.  Hahaa.  They knew we almost had to be with that many kids.  hahaa.  They live full time in Mexico and have a house at the back of the property.  I was worried about how that would be but our kids were so good and the Libby's were so nice...and we hardly saw them.  We got a great deal on the place too.  It was the funnest time.

It is a 4 hour drive from Phoenix to Rocky Point/Puerto Penasco...we took some pads down for henry and Fiona to sleep on so we were pretty packed full.

I love how Theo is freaking out in this picture.
He is at a hard age for road trips.  (my kids are rock star travelers)

I drove the first 3 hours until we got to Mexico.  It's 3 hours in the USA and then you cross the border in Lukeville.  Which is just a crossing town nothing really there.  It is a totally easy border crossing and you don't have to get special stuff to take your car in...I think they call it an open border.  Kids just have to have their birth certificates, Adults need passports but Cali's was expired and they let her cross no problem.  We get Mexican auto insurance and I think its like 50 dollars for 4 days.
Cortney was the only one insured to drive in Mexico so he took over as we crossed.  Both of our vans got the green light at the border and then it is a 60 mile drive to the beach house we rented.

The whole drive is through a barren dessert.  Not scary at all. Emig's van in front of ours.

The house.

The Owners live in this back house next to our cars.

Here is the annex where the kids stayed.  It was awesome.

Tyson, Jack, Carolina and Grace stayed in this room.

Emig kids bathroom.  The kids would all shower a bunch each day.

The Boice kids bathroom.

Cali and I both had babies in our bathrooms so we would just walk out back and use the kids most of the time.

Oli and Rob stayed in this room.

There is a door in between both bedrooms and then they both have an exterior door.

WE wouldn't let them open the door in between the rooms until 8.  haha.

The blue building is the owners home.

Cali and Joey's room.  The couch is a hide a bed...Fiona slept there.   We didn't get a picture of our bathrooms but they were very similar to the kids.

Cortney took these picture right when we got there so we were unloading it wasn't this messy usually.

Our room.  Identical to Cali and Joey's.

The living area and kitchen.  We picked up all our food at Costco in Phoenix.  Which was so nice.  There is a walmart owned store here and a Sam's club...but it is just easier to get most of the food in the USA.  We did get soda, cheese, tortillas, and that kind of stuff in Mexico. (just because we like the mexican kinds)

We got there around noon and the kids wasted no time getting in to the ocean.

Theo Loved loved it.

Okay I think that is all for mexico.

Mexico 2

We spent 4 days and 3 nights in Mexico this time.  It was a nice relaxing trip.  Our kids were so good and we didn't have any drama.  The place we rented had a main house with two identical master suites.  Cali and Joey. and Fiona shared one room with Willie in their bathroom, and we took the other room with Henry on a mat on the floor and Theo in our bathroom.  Behind the main house was a guest house with two identical rooms and two bathrooms.  ( I have pictures somewhere...ahahhh).  The big kids all stayed out there and weren't allowed to come out until 8:30.  It was great.

 I love the ocean.

How heavenly is this...we were always the only people out there...for miles.

 Pretty CC

My Happy place.  Reading with the ocean breeze.  Here I am outside the sliding door of our bedroom.

View from my bed!

One morning we were outside eating breakfast and we saw like six DOLPHINS!!!!! If you look closely you can see them.  I almost started crying I was so happy.

Our kids booked it down there for a closer look (they are standing on the sandbar)

Theo was so sad it was so hard to get down to the beach.

Theo was always trying to get down to the beach!

 lunch outside (NACHOS and FANTA)

One night when the tide was out super far we ran around looking for crabs.  We found so so many.  (HEnry has been having nightmares of crabs ever since.)

We also went digging for sand dollars and found 26 live sand dollars in one night.

dinner of nuggets for the kids.  (it was great this funny table fit all 10 kids)

 Little WIllie Mays in Paradise.

Me and Willie because he isn't in hardly any pictures.
