Christmas

This Christmas we spent in Rexburg Idaho. We have had a great time and were very excited to finally have a kid old enough to get what was going on. We started off Christmas eve morning shopping for a family of nine. Our little family was in charge of a three year old girl and a one year old girl. I pictured what I would have wanted for my two kids of the same age and got some littlest pet shop stuff for the three year old, and for the baby, a winter coat, a fleece, footed pajama's, a long sleeve shirt, courderoy pants and a little purse. Cortney dropped all of the presents off on Christmas eve and ran while the kids watched from the car as all of the little kids in the family jumped for joy. It was great. We had Christmas eve dinner at Grandma Alice's like usual and it was YUMMY. We all headed home after a short nativity and my kids went straight to bed. Oliver slept without waking up but at 7:45 bolted out of bed to run and see if santa had come. Oliver got Heely's from Santa that he had been asking for since his birthday in June. He was shocked he got heely's and so happy. He also got a Tech Deck skate park from mom and dad. Rob got a car and race track (he is still a little young for it but I didn't want Ollie to have too many presents). Cortney fixed my wedding ring for me and got me sun glasses from Costco that I had been eyeing for months. Cort got a hunting shirt and vest from me and the boys. It was a perfect morning. Every little thing that Oliver got out of his stocking was the "awesomest ever" and he kept telling me that it was the "best Christmas ever". Rob also had a great time finally being able to open the presents he had been trying to open all season long. We had breakfast and a long day of snacking on the yummiest treats imaginable.

Thanksgiving

We had a huge group up to Cali's House for the Turkey Day Celebration. We had a great time with great food and the weather was so warm the kids played outside the whole time. We didn't even see them the whole day.

Rob's big day

I decorated for the party so that everyone would know for sure that I love Rob just as much as Ollie (who had a full blown pool party with eight friends for his first birthday)

Here's the party group of course minus Rob and his parents

Halloween

Anyone that knows me and knows me well knows that I...Ashley Boice am addicted to Halloween. I love it I can't get enough of it. Growing up with Amber Merrell Jenks as my best friend is one of the main contributing factors. She was born on Halloween so every year I got to do something really fun for her birthday and Halloween. Weither it was going to a spook alley or having a spooky party with bugs in our drinks, worms in our food or a ghost cake that was on fire we always did something spectacular. Some of the best nights of my life were on all Hallows eve. Including a very memorable night in Rexburg that included staying out all night pumpkins the stadium and an old VW van. Not to mention the game of bed diving that we played earlier with tiffany, amber, missy, Laura, and Sean and someother boys I will leave unnamed. What fun. Anyways everyone (Cali) teases me now because I live for all things Halloween. I told Cali the other day that you'll be able to tell when I am rich when I have a million spooky inflatables out on my front yard and my whole house decked to the nines with all things spooky. This is a picture of Oliver he is going to be a power ranger this year as it is what he is obsessed with. And lucky me Kaelynn (my sister in law) already had this awesome costume. I don't know what Rob is going to be yet. We will see what I can find.

Cute huh...

I am so board at home all alone since Cortney is off huntin'. He is gone for five days and I am so board. So board I am actually posting to this blog. Anyways I had been to every web site I could think of when I typed in a search for CORTNEY BOICE and this picture is what came up. Pretty awesome. I love it. The internet is the weirdest thing.

Our Family at Whitney's wedding

This whole BLOG idea is too complex for me...takes too much time and instead of me adding to it once a week or once a month I see it in my favorites and cringe. Just another thing that I am not doing. Great.

Funny Ollie

I wanted to add this in my jounal but I don't have it in the house and I am afraid I will forget it before I remember to write it so I am typing it here. Oliver this morning dropped something behind the couch. He struggled for awhile to reach it but couldn't. He came up to me and our conversation went like this
Oliver: "I need Robbie to help me."
Mom: "reach, you'll get it"
Oliver: "My head is too big, So I need Robbie"
I thought it was so funny he wanted to use Robs small head to get behind the couch.
I love it

Fat Rob...again

We gave Robbie a teething biscuit to eat while we shopped he ate the entire thing and was so sad after it was gone. After he cried a little over it he fell asleep too tired from all the pigging out his carseat is a mess!

Goodbye sweet NUTSI

Here is my baby on his way to the Provo river to throw out his nutsies he got a gun, sword and megaphone in exchange

Oliver really wasn't too sure that he wanted to throw this yellow nutsi in the river. He had a whole baggie full to throw and had to taste each one before it went

You can see the last nutsi in the air what a bittersweet day

The family on Mothers Day with a plate I made for Roberta

This is our family in Cortney's 72 International scout we go all over town in it. We look super getto driving around in it but it is so much fun. We did run out of gas and had to wait for Jared Palenske to come bring us gas.

Friday, April 07, 2006

I went with Molly Knowles and her kids to the Dinosaur museum on Thursday. It was great Oliver was really scared at first he didn't think he liked dinos but after a while he was in little boy heaven. Friday I went to Cabella's with a couple of other ladies from the ward. I drove up with Dawn Magnum, who I didn't really know. It was really great to get to know her we had a wonderful talk on the way up and down. Cali is back tonight YEAH. Tomorrow we are going to go watch Carrie Westover (soon to be Spendlove) in a dance recital. Cortney has to work even though it is Saturday.

Cali is out of town so I am so bored. The kids and I went on a walk today. It has been a long time since I have done something like that without anyone else. They are both asleep now and I am torn between cleaning the house or sitting on the couch watching the Food Network.

Rob, Mom and Ollie going on a walk

We are trying to start a BLOG for our family. I feel like we are the last people on Earth to get a blog...Well at least Cali doesn't have one yet. This is our family March 26 2006.
