Everyone keeps asking Cortney if he is growing his beard to be in the New Testament videos that the church is filming right now. I figured since he already is growing it out we should give it a try and sign up.
Last sunday I filled out a profile for him on lds casting and a week later we got an email asking him to be an extra in the scene they were filming today. We were both pretty excited as it is a pretty cool opportunity. He left this morning at 5:00 to a set in Goshen where they have built a lot of the new testament scenes.
I photo shopped a little mock up of Cortney acting it up since there are no cameras or phones on set. Hahaa. This isn't real to all the kids and grandma's that read my blog. :)
Funny huh? I have been smiling all day thinking of him in ancient costume. He fits right in if you ask me.
Here is his casting pictures. They are really interested in dark beards. Also people with missing limbs, blindness, weathered looking skin and missing teeth.
They said repeatedly in emails for Cortney to not cut his beard in any way.

I hope he actually got used! Matt went to be a roman soldier. Sat all day in costume and they never got to film his scene. At least he got paid. But we were hoping to have a famous Thomas. Maybe next time.....

Oh my gosh that is so dang funny! Cort and Bible stories. Wow! Also, that rattlesnake is crazy, and looks so familiar. Looks like a great trip though.
His beard is so great, he deserves a speaking part. Don't settle!
