This week in cell pictures

You wanna know a secret.  We had two offers on our house and we've accepted one.  4 days on the MLS...and it is under contract.  I am reeling.  It is pretty scary to me.  I don't want to jinx anything...but I am pretty sure we are selling our house.

That being said we've sold a house before and had people back out...so I am not getting my mind set that it is sold.

Since we have been showing our house a lot this week, I have been cleaning like a crazy person and then leaving to stay at Cali's for the rest of the day.

We sure have a lot of kids together.  Hahaa.

Henry and Gigi have a really special thing together.  look at that boys face...twice the size of hers.   hahaa.

They are good friends.
Hard to believe that she is 3 years older than him.

We stopped by the elementary school's wax museum to see Tyson portray Jackie Robinson...
Tyson.  Such a cute boy.  Honestly one of my favorite people alive. Today just he and I watched morning session of conference.  He is so good at the game Draw something too.

We had the 3 babies loaded up in the double stroller.  I asked Noni if her and Henry were best friends and she said..."yah BEST FRIENDS FOREVER."  So cute...and such a girly thing to say.

Henry doesn't like sleeping over but we had a couple of late appointments.  This night he got out of bed.  Turned on all the lights and then got back in and went to sleep.  CUTE BABY.

It's been a great week and we have been so blessed to get interest on our house.  I honestly expected it to take at least 2 months.  It is exhausting keeping the house immaculate, so it is good that it went so fast...I don't know how long I can keep this up.

I feel sad and happy at the same time.  I have so many good friends around here.  I will be so sad when we move.

Now...anyone know of someone wanting to sell a house to us.  hahaa.

We got talent

Tonight was the ward talent show. Imagine my surprise when I saw that Robbie signed up. My kids are not performers...but he did it on his own. I couldn't believe it. I also knew there was no chance he was getting up there to perform.

On the way home from school today, he asked, "so what do I win if I win the talent show?". He couldn't understand that there would be no prize for first place. He really couldn't believe there was no first place.

Then as the afternoon progressed he said he was just to "jealous" to be in the talent show. Not Jealous...NERVOUS, I corrected. "yeah, I'm shy.", he said.

After we ate the pre-show dinner they announced that Robbie would be the first act. He said there was no way he was going to do it so Cortney ran up and told the announcer Rob changed his mind.

As the night progressed he got braver and braver. Then at the end he said he would do it. We went up and told the announcer and he said Robbie would be the last act. He and I went and waited in the wings of the stage. I was nervous he would get up there and freeze. We practiced one time what he was going to do...then it was show time... His act is about 20 seconds...take some time and watch it. It's worth it. It is a video from far back...but you can still get an idea of just how talented he is.

Yup he does the CHINESE Splits followed by putting his foot behind his head.

Afterwards he said he got over his fears. He said something helped him when he went up there to not be scared, probably the Holy Ghost, he said. Ahhhhh. I was so proud. He kept asking people which performance was their favorite. Still set on winning. On the way home he said, "yeah all the girls loved it because I am so FLEXIBLE." hahaa.

The kitchen

We finally finished our kitchen.  Pheeewww.  I am so tired of doing so many home improvements.  Our house looks amazing though.  :)

Jory came and "helped" us do a travertine backsplash.  It looks so good.  He is one talented boy.  Seriously.  We got new countertops and a new sink.  Then we re-stained the cabinets.

We get so much good light in our house.  I love it.

This time of the year is my favorite in my house.  It is so bright and airy.

I never really posted after pictures of our floor.  We are loving it.  Especially in the hall...no more traffic patterns.  Yes!

I mentioned before that we got a new kitchen table.  We sanded this down then painted the table a light grey (one shade lighter than the grey on our walls).  Then we did the bench in white.  It is a HUGE table...although it is hard to tell that from this picture.  It is nice for all of us to be able to sit together, and we can even fit the dishes of food on the table (before it was so small we could only fit our own plates).

WE have been thinking for a long time about moving.  I really would like to live within walking distance to Cali's house.  I would love for my kids to have the same type of growing up experience that I had.  One where you have your cousin's at school with you.  One where there is room outside to play, and where they are able to roam around.  Cortney would love to have more land...it is hard for this country boy to live on such a small lot. We have been looking for a while to maybe get a house in Lindon (um yeah I have been looking at houses there for more like 5 years).  One came up a little while ago and we made on offer on it.  However, we needed to sell our house first and houses in Lindon sell FAST.   The house sold.  We were pretty sad, but it made us realize that if we want to move, we have to try and sell our house.

I have such mixed emotions about this.  We have never lived anywhere this long.  I have never felt like I belonged in a ward the way I do now.  I love my neighbors.  I love my kids teachers.  I LOVE OUR HOME.  We have made it just how we want it and it is good for us.

I think it is time for us though.  Time to move on.  Oliver is getting older and I don't want him to have to move a lot of times growing up.  Already he will be sad to leave his friends.  Last year, that wouldn't have been an issue, so I can tell now that each year it will get harder.

It is so difficult for me to tell people we are selling our house...or trying to sell our house.  It is embarrassing somehow.  I don't want anyone to know.  haha.  For now we are selling it ourselves but will list it on the MLS here in a little while.

You can see a bunch of pictures of our house (For all of those that are curious)  at www.954w400n.blogspot.com

Scary huh??

4 months

Hahahaa...my friend Christy Commented that I was calling THEO, HENRY the entire post.  DOH.  I really can't tell the two apart.  We have Henry and henry 2 .

The funniest part of this mess up is I read it twice proof reading it and didn't even notice.  (and I called Theo Henry more than once...Yikes.  Mom I guess I am minutes away from calling all my kids FRED)
:)

Theo had his 4 month appointment on Friday.  I can't believe it where does the time go??  It seems like only yesterday I was sick pregnant.

I love getting my babies stats.  It is so exciting to me.

Theo at four months

Weight 11.42 lbs     0.81%
Height 24 inches     12.55 %
Head 16 inches        26.7 %

(Henry's 4 month stats for comparison:
weight 14.5 lbs 29.28 percentile
Height 25.25 inches 60.86 percentile)

I can't believe he isn't even in the first percentile. Such a little guy.  I thought he was huge....hahaa.  He is finally wearing 0-3 month clothes in some things but still newborn in a lot of brands.  (just not carters) He is starting to get some chub on his legs though.

I snapped a couple of pictures this morning (because we haven't hardly taken any in the past couple of months)...to celebrate his 4 months.

He can't really sit in the bumbo yet because his neck isn't strong enough yet so he head is slumping over in these pictures (hey if you think about his 1% body holding up that 26% head its a wonder he can lift the thing at all)

Still that same worried look he's had from birth.

Sidenote....since Henry was tongue tied I never ever saw his tongue when he was a baby.  Fiona would always have hers out and it grossed me out.  NOw I am realizing she was normal and Henry was the weird one.  Theo always has his out a little.

Theo is such a smiley baby.  He is just waiting for someone to look at him so he can smile.

He opens his mouth bigger and bigger the happier he is.

See the birth mark on his leg??  He has five of them on his body.  Two on that leg, one on his other knee, and two on the back of his head.  The doctor said it is unusual for him to have so many of them...so we have to watch them.  (and his milestones) I am sure they are nothing.

Look at that thigh chub though.  So cute.

I heard him make a pre-barf sound so I did what I could to catch it before it went on his shirt.  (a mother's love)

Henry has had a tough week...first he got a million slivers in his hand, from falling on our neighbor's fence while playing basketball.

This is a horrible phone picture but each cluster is like 10 slivers.  The doctor got some of the big ones out but the rest are just in there.
(he is so tough...he didn't even cry...he only cries when he doesn't get his way...not when he is hurt.)

Then on Sunday we were leaving Joey and Cali's house and he fell down the stairs in the garage and put his teeth all the way through his lip.  Yikes.
The inside of his lip is way worse than the outside.

Henry had to get in on the picture taking too....he kept saying "henry's turn".

Brothers.

hmmm

I think it might be time to head to the grocery store.  I just HAVE not been up to it at all.

funny school pictures

The schools around here do spring pictures.  I never order them because it is just another 20 bucks for pictures I don't need.  Of course I always forget it is picture day too.  I have too much on my mind to think about things like picture day.  Haha  The funny thing is they have them pose with a ladder or something.  My kids think the background is so awesome.  They sent home proofs with the order form.  I had to scan them in because they are so awesome...

Oliver is trying to grow his hair out...I think it is because he wants to look like justin bieber but he won't admit that.  It looks crazy in this picture.

I will say since then Cortney took all 3 of my kids to the beauty collage to get hair cuts.  UNFORTUNATELY Oliver came back looking exactly the same, except the girl kinda thinned it out so it is more floppy.  OYE.  He told me today he would get it cut.  It has been driving me nuts.  ( I actually think seeing his hair in pictures is what made him decide to cut it.  haha)

These pictures of Rob made me so happy it was almost worth spending 20 bucks on.  I love his half smile.  AND he wears this sweatsuit NON stop.  Every second.  I only let him wear it twice a week to school but he comes home and immediately puts it on after school.  ALSO he wants to sleep in it at night too...coat and all.

In fact...he is wearing it in bed right now...I am going to go and snap a picture...
Boom.

Can you believe that?  I wash the thing at least 3 times a week.  Oh well...I guess I don't care if he wears it every second.  Pick your battles right.  I really need to go pick up a couple more in other colors so he will have more options.  The weird part is he has other pants that are just like that but he doesn't think they are as comfy.  He is crazy.

Sick

We are sick around here. First I started with the stomach flu, then sure enough cort was up throwing up in the night. We are both trying to lay around in bed but we have all these little kids that have other things in mind. Other things like closing and opening a tupperware a million times, because he wants to put his muffin in there and can't open it to take a bite on his own. Remember how awesome the BYU game was last night? Biggest comeback in NCAA tournament history. I haven't seen joe smile that big in years. Theo slept soundly on my lap through all the hollering. What a game.

This week...

We have been working around here on our house like crazy.  But amidst all of that we have managed to have a pretty dang good life.

Sunday was so beautiful, after a little after church nap we HAD to take a walk.  (one of our favorite sunday activities). It was still a little chilly for baby so he got bundled up in this cutest reindeer outfit.
Cortney was throwing a diaper at the door when I shot this picture.  Haha.

Theodore hasn't been big enough to ride in the stroller yet, this was his first time.  He loved it.  WHAT A CUTIE?  Am I right?  He is such a good baby.  One of my easiest by far.  Today he woke up from the night (well he had a baba at 8:30) at 1:15 p.m.  He loves sleeping.  I think he has to try so hard to grow that he is exhausted.

He is such a smiley baby too.

I have said it before, Henry doesn't eat anything.  He eats nuggets for dinner, and sometimes lunch, and sometimes breakfast.  Lately he has been trying, and LIKING new foods.  It is making me so happy.  He now will eat pizza toast (which is just a piece of toast, but he thinks its Pizza), noodles, oranges, apples, bananas (he loves bananas and the first time he would try them he ate 3), pizza and corn dogs.  He will not TRY anything.  Even dessert.

The other night we had some fresh broccoli to dip in ranch.  It is one of Robbie's favorite foods.  I couldn't believe when Henry tried it, and liked it.
I swear this kid looks like no one is taking care of him.  He is always in pajamas, and always has a dirty face.

His body didn't know what was going on....it had never had veggies before.  Hahaa.

I know it might seem that we don't have any other kids besides Henry, it is just that is the kid I am with all day.

Here he is riding on Oliver's skateboard (once again dirty face, and comfy clothes...as he likes to call them).

I had to include this because Oliver colored his skate with crayons...the kid is an artist I tell you.  2nd grade.  He is going to be a graphic designer someday (or he would love it if he could design skate clothes....hahaa)

We put the boys in a room together and made the other bedroom an office for Cortney.  It is working out really nice and it actually stays pretty quiet for him.  Although he has two child locks on the outside of his door so Henry can't bother him every  second.

The other day I went in to find him watching the iTunes screen...you know the one that looks like electricity or flying or something like that....The boys were mesmerized.

(cortney mentioned to me that, that jacket is the only thing he is ever wearing on my blog...hahaa...poor boy needs some new clothes.)

Side note...do you see the wood carving on the wall??  Well that is the tree of life stila,  we got to see it in Mexico and is pretty awesome.  This one on his wall was HAND CARVED, by his grandpa BOB ward in 1983.  We found it in his grandma's garage and knew we had to have it.  I love that Cortney has something his grandpa made (the are so much, and look so much alike).

All of Cortney's post it notes.  He is so organized.
(Cortney and his friends are starting a fly fishing company that sells reels and rods...it will be called blue halo and is starting up sometime in the next couple of months...and Cortney loves him some stickers)

Nothing makes me love this man more than a picture like this.  What a good dad.

Poor Theo...in the constant state of spit-up.  He lives his life in barf.

tired

We have been so busy around here.  This week we painted the office, the boys room and the kitchen.  Plus we re-stained our kitchen cabinets and are putting in our new counter tops.  We have redone almost every room in our house and it looks awesome.  As soon as we are done I will post pictures of all the changes.  I love it.

Not only have we been working our little fingers to the bone but Cortney's work is really starting to pick up.  He has been working so much.
The other day during dinner Cortney fell asleep right there at the table.  I was laughing so hard I had to take a picture.
He fell asleep with his phone up to his nose like this, it was so funny.  Oh and doesn't he look exactly like tobias funke here???
Poor guy so tired.

Another reason we are so tired is, although Theo is sleeping 12 hours straight without waking up, Henry is really giving us a lot of trouble with his sleeping.  Last night Henry came in our room at 2 terrified, I couldn't get him to calm down so I let him lay with me until 3 then he came in again at 6.  He climbs out of his crib breaks a child lock off the door and wanders the house.  It is horrible.  I don't know why it works this way but there is always one kid that isn't sleeping good.  I am working on getting him to stay in bed, but it is exhausting in the meanwhile.  (I am hoping that it is because he is sick.)

Bahhh...I keep feeling bad for not posting, I have so much I want to post about but...not enough time at an actual computer.  I guess it comes along with having a new baby.  (he's getting so big.)
